Sunny skies are the perfect excuse to trade your car for your bike, grow a garden, or go on a walk. While not everyone may be able to plant their own garden, everyone can find small ways to raise awareness and appreciation for the only Earth we have. Earth Day 2017 will take place on Saturday, April 22.
To celebrate the wonderful world we live in, the WSU Center for Civic Engagement invites students, faculty, and staff to join us for service projects with an environmental or sustainability focus throughout the week. Everyone is welcome to participate in the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute’s annual Pullman Stream Cleanup from 10 AM to 1 PM starting at the Spring Street Park in Pullman. For students, the CCE offers a variety of special Earth Day projects on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23. Global Campus students are invited to participate in sustainability-related service projects in their home communities. Visit cce.wsu.edu/get-engaged for instructions on finding service projects.
