TODAY – Spring Semester WSU Alert Test & Lockdown Drill

The WSU Pullman campus will test their campus communications system and practice a campus–wide lockdown Thursday, April 20, at 11:45 a.m.. This will be a TEST.

Faculty, staff and students associated with the Pullman campus who have signed up for emergency notifications will receive text messages, phone calls, and emails which will be clearly identified as a test. WSU will be testing their mechanical locking capabilities with a 15 minute lockdown starting at 11:45 a.m.

During the drill, expect locks on interior and exterior doors to engage beginning at 11:45.  Doors will be locked until 12:00 p.m. An all clear message will be sent out indicating that the drill is over.

Participation by faculty teaching classes (interrupting teaching, covering windows and sheltering away from windows and doors) is encouraged but not mandated. Please use the time to educate students, staff and visitors about lockdown procedures and manually lock doors when the lockdown is announced.
