Whitman County Extension Diabetes Prevention Program

86 million Americans are at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes.  Has your doctor told you that you are pre-diabetic or  at-risk for developing diabetes?  WSU Whitman County Extension is currently accepting enrollees for the Diabetes Prevention Program.  This program offers one year of group health coaching sessions designed to help you lose weight, become more active, and reduce your risk of developing diabetes.  Scholarship monies are available for qualified applicants.  For more information about the program and to begin the application process, please contact Whitman County Extension (509)397-6290 or kelly.a.stewart@wsu.edu  An informational session to provide an overview of the program is being held April 13 at 5:30 p.m. Public Service Building Conference Room A, Colfax, WA.
