New 2017 Premiums reflected on paychecks

Medical, Life and LTD insurance premiums have changed for 2017.  Employees saw their new medical premium charges reflected on the January 10 paycheck, with changes in the life and LTD premiums first being reflected on the January 25 paycheck.

Some employees may not see the correct MetLife premiums on the January 25th paycheck. Health Care Authority has informed WSU there were some factors that caused this to occur for some employees.  If you are one of those indivdiuals, the premiums will be corrected on future paycheck(s).

To verify your coverage if the correct premiums are being collected, logon to your MetLife My Benefits portal, and review the coverage and premiums reflected under the “Group Life Insurance” tab.  If prompted to enter an employer name when logging on/registering, enter PEBB Benefits – State of Washington.  The MetLife site will reflect the total monthly premiums; you can divide that amount by 2 to arrive at your WSU bi-monthly premium.

If the premium is not correct, please expect to see corrections on your upcoming paycheck(s).  If the amount of coverage does not reflect what you are enrolled in, please contact MetLife directly at 1-866-548-7139.
