Interdisciplinary teams poised to address food-energy-water (FEW) system challenges are encouraged to submit a proposal to participate in a tri-state workshop. Vice presidents for research at Washington State University, University of Idaho, and Oregon State University are convening the workshop on April 10-11, 2017 in Coeur D’Alene, ID.
Researchers from all three institutions, as well as Idaho National Lab and Pacific Northwest National Lab, are encouraged to submit proposals. Three to five distinct, multi-institutional teams will be selected. The workshop will allow for face-to-face time with colleagues to actively develop funding strategies (e.g. grant proposals) and plans to build programs. The individual teams will work together on their focused research plans, but will also have opportunities to interact across teams and find other opportunities for collaboration.
Proposals should be submitted to res.dev@wsu.edu by 15 February 2017.
