A group of graduate students and faculty members from the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences will share lessons on industry careers in a panel discussion, 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5.
The panel discusses a Nov. 14-16 visit by 13 students and faculty to the Monsanto Chesterfield Research Center in St. Louis, where students were given an opportunity to visit with a broad range of scientists, tour facilities, and learn more about industry careers for breeders, crop and soil scientists, and agricultural engineers. They were also given guidance on how to prepare, network, apply and interview for doctorate-level industry positions.
CAHNRS students from Crop and Soil Sciences, Biological Systems Engineering, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, weed science and other disciplines took part.
