Residence Life’s Programming Board is partnering with Health & Wellness, UREC, and Stimson Hall to host this year’s Redefining Masculinity Week from November 7-10. These events and tabling initiatives are aimed at challenging the norm, questioning where the ideas of masculinity come from, and how the campus community can redefine what masculinity means. Join us for free conversations, health screenings and refreshments throughout the week.
On Monday, Nov. 7 from noon-3 p.m. Tabling at the CUB Courtyard. Stop by for free resources and giveaways. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. join UREC for a free Body Pump fitness class at Smith 215. Later that day from 6-8 p.m. in CUE 318, be a part of the conversation at the Panel 50: Dude, Man, Bro, and More… What is Masculinity? WSU Students will be addressing issues around masculinity and what the media portrays it to be. Light refreshments will be provided.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9 from noon-2 p.m. stop by our table at the CUB for free resources and giveaways. From 7-9 p.m., join Health & Wellness and Residence Life for a screening of “The Mask You Live In” in the Stimson Hall Lobby. Free popcorn and giveaways will be provided.
On Thursday, Nov. 10 from noon-2 p.m. stop by our table at the CUB for free resources and giveaways. Health and Wellness will be facilitating free health screenings in the McEachern Hall Lobby for cholesterol levels, blood pressure, eye-sight, and body fat percentage.
