We are excited to announce that the application for the 2017 Alaska Airlines Travel Grants is now live. Applications are due by October 28. For the link to the application and more details on the process please visit: https://economicdevelopment.wsu.edu/researchers/alaska-airlines-travel-awards/.
As part of Alaska Airlines’ three-year title sponsorship (2016 – 2018) of the WSU Imagine Tomorrow competition, the company has committed three million airline miles (one million annually) to WSU faculty, graduate and undergraduate students working in areas related to the competition categories. The 2017 Imagine Tomorrow competition categories are: 1) food, energy and water, 2) the Boeing aerospace challenge, 3) the NARA biofuels challenge, and 4) the McKinstry built environment challenge.
Awardees can use the miles to travel to external conferences, industry events or presentations. They can also use the miles to bring experts in related fields to campus for lectures or other events.
If all of the miles are not awarded in this first round, then a second round for 2017 travel will occur in the Spring. It is not guaranteed that there will be a second round. If you have any questions, please contact Rachelle Rozsonits, rachelle.rozsonits@wsu.edu or 206-219-2420.
