Cougs Vote: WSU Student Debates – Oct. 12 & 20

With the US national election fast approaching on November 8, ASWSU and the Center for Civic Engagement invite students, faculty, staff and community members to two WSU student debates between representatives of the College Republicans and Young Democrats groups. The first debate will focus on economic issues, and it will take place on October 12 at 5 p.m. in Butch’s Den. The second debate will examine human rights issues and party platforms, and it will take place on October 20 at 7 p.m. in Butch’s Den. At each event, the student panelists will provide brief opening statements before a moderator facilitates a debate that invites questions from the audience.

Global Campus students as well as other campus students are invited to join the October 20 discussion via live stream on the CCE’s YouTube channel. Visit cce.wsu.edu/cougsvote for more events and information.
