Sept. 8: Opening reception for WSU student protest exhibit

An opening reception for a new exhibit in Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collections is planned at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the MASC main lobby at Terrell Library. Refreshments will be available.

The exhibit, “Protest: Students, War + Racism, WSU 1969-70,” examines the student activism at WSU during the 1969-70 academic year, a time when many college students around the country were protesting against the Vietnam War, Kent State University shootings and racial inequality. The foundations laid during this time have supported WSU student activism today.
