WSU, Pullman to host community safety fair in July

The Brelsford WSU Visitor Center and Pullman Fire Department are teaming up to offer a hands-on, family-friendly community safety fair July 16.

WSU, Pullman and surrounding community members are invited to attend the first annual WSU-Pullman Community Safety Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 16 at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center, 150 E. Spring St. The safety fair will involve a variety of fire-safety activities, as well as snacks, beverages and raffle prizes.

Activities include a firefighter training agility course, simulated house trailer to teach smoke safety, wooden cut-out house with “fire” to be extinguished, on-site car seat inspections and CPR demonstrations. The fire department will also give attendees an up-close look at a fire truck, ambulance and vehicle extrication tools.
