If you are interested in working to improve and to celebrate the lives of women at WSU, the President’s Commission on the Status of Women is currently seeking applications to fill eleven open positions for the 2016-17 academic year. The Commission is composed of 25 voting members who hold two year positions, and friends and ex-officio members of the Commission who are charged with gathering data, monitoring emerging trends, and making policy recommendations directly to the President regarding matters that affect the lives of women in our WSU communities. The Commission also works in conjuction with other WSU organizations to sponsor and present events such as the Women of Distinction Recognition Luncheon and Symposium.
