GPSA Research Exposition: Call for Judges

GPSA Research Exposition
Friday, March 25

Compton Union Building

Over two decades ago, the Graduate and Professional Student Association of Washington State University hosted the First Annual Graduate Student Research Exposition.

The GPSA Research Exposition provides an opportunity for graduate and professional students, faculty, peers, alum, and community members to unite and celebrate the diverse and cutting-edge research that takes place on our campus.

As such, we invite all Washington State graduate and professional students to present at the Exposition. GPSA further encourages graduate and professional student participation with a scholarship awards competition. The event is uniting past, present, and future Cougars in a conversation that invites the community into the dynamic research and scholarship that is taking place on our campus. This year we are pleased to invite members of Washington State’s Faculty, Staff and Alumni to join in our efforts and help us select those students with exemplary scholarship and research.

This year we have some exciting new developments that will be beneficial for all students at WSU. We have partnered with Academic Showcase to provide a new event that showcases the exemplary research of the WSU community. In addition, the GPSA Research Exposition will be giving out $11,200 in student scholarships.

GPSA is seeking judges for the following categories:

 Medical & Life Sciences

Engineering & Physical Sciences

Agricultural & Natural Sciences

Social Sciences

Liberal Arts & Humanities:

Visual Arts & Design

Administrative & Information Sciences

Judge Training will be held the morning of the event Friday, March 25, at 8 a.m. in the Compton Union Building in Pullman, WA. The event will conclude by Noon and judges are encouraged to stay the duration of the event. This will help us ensure that judges are given enough time to converse with participants and ask detailed questions. All Judges will be judging poster presentations for their respective categories. Meals will be provided for breakfast and lunch on Friday.

The judge application is now available here: https://orgsync.com/39017/forms/179045 or visit the GPSA website at gpsa.wsu.edu for more information. Those interested are encouraged to apply no later than February 25. If you have any additional questions, please contact the GPSA office at (509) 335-9545 or email gpsa.mainoffice@wsu.edu
