As part of Alaska Airlines’ three-year title sponsorship of the WSU Imagine Tomorrow competition, the company has committed three million airline miles (one million annually) to WSU faculty, graduate and undergraduate students working in areas related to the competition categories. The 2016 Imagine Tomorrow competition categories are food, energy and water, the Boeing aerospace challenge, the NARA biofuels challenge, and the McKinstry built environment challenge.
Award grantees can use the miles to travel to external conferences, industry events or presentations. They can also use the miles to bring experts in related fields to campus for lectures or other events.
