Author/poet Alex Kuo to read from new works

A free, public reading and book signing by Chinese-American poet and author Alex Kuo will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in Goertzen Hall 21 at Washington State University. The Bookie will have several of his earlier works available for sale.

The author of five poetry collections, two books of short stories, three novels and a volume of essays, he will read from his new novel, “shanghai. shanghai. shanghai,” and collection of poems, “Meeting Words at the Gate,” at WSU.

Co-sponsors of the event include the WSU Humanities Planning Group/College of Arts and Sciences, the departments of English, Foreign Languages and Cultures, and Critical Culture, Gender and Race Studies, the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Student Center and the ASWSU Student Entertainment Board.

This event is also part of the Honors Distinguished Faculty Lecture series.
