FREE: ME 401 Robot Competition

Mechanical engineering students in WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture will be showing off their robotic skills to the public Friday, October 30, on the Pullman campus.

As part of their ME 401 mechatronic mid-term project, students in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering have built robots made of sensors, motors and microcontroller boards to perform as a “gatherer” or a “hunter” depending on the code activated.

While students are being graded based on their in-class performance, 14 student teams are enthusiastically competing against each other this week in two-minute head-to-head matches.

The robotics competition is open to the public and will take place in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Building Room 152 at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 30.
