The College of Education is offering a university-wide lunch-hour discussion sessions, with its main highlights being the staples of any college: coffee and conversation. Today (Monday, Oct. 26), the college will host the first of its informal forums to share ideas, and have a conversation. The coffee, of course, is optional.
The college will select a piece of literature as a jumping-off point to stimulate the conversation. These discussions are intended to be informal, and a place where all opinions and ideas are welcome.
“We are experimenting with different formats in addition to the regular series of ‘research brown bags’ we’ve been doing,” said distinguished professor A.G. Rud, who is organizing the series. “This particular forum will allow for a lively discussion around a scholarly text.”
The first discussion will surround the text Action Research as Signature Pedagogy in an Education Doctorate Program: The Reality and Hope. The event will be held from 12:10-1 p.m. The discussions will be held at the following, and through AMS:
WSU Pullman: CLEV 312
WSU Spokane: SAC 415
WSU Tri-Cities: 210 W
WSU Vancouver: VUB 311
