Beyond 7 Billion: Why an environmental reporter decided to write about population growth

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ken Weiss set off across Asia and Africa asking the question: “Can we live within our means on this planet?” The answers he found took him by surprise and lead this longtime environmental reporter in directions he never anticipated. His initial findings were reported in the Beyond 7 Billion series in the Los Angeles Times. He’ll present a multi-media tour of his travels to look at the causes and consequences of rapid population growth.
