The WSU Honors College announces that it is accepting applications and nominations for its inaugural cohort of Honors Faculty Fellows.
“There are many faculty members at the university who make significant contributions to the mission of the Honors College and deeply impact our students,” Honors Dean M. Grant Norton said. “We are very pleased to launch this new program to recognize them in a continuing and public fashion.”
Honors Associate Dean Catherine Elstad will receive application and nomination materials.
Applicants will be evaluated on their past, current, and proposed contributions to the Honors College. These could include, for example, teaching in the Honors Curriculum, mentoring honors students in research and created projects, providing internships and community service opportunities, or being a campus ambassador for the college.
Faculty who have held the rank of Honors College Distinguished Professor will automatically be awarded the title of Honors Faculty Fellow at the end of their two-year term.
Applications and nominations are accepted at any time throughout the academic year—there are no deadlines or closing dates.
