Research, Innovation, Creativity Town Hall Meeting, Sept 2

The Office of Research is continuing to encourage all faculty, students, and staff feedback, input, and seek broader institutional support for the recommendations from the 120–Day Research Study, including its five Grand Challenges. The 19 major recommendations from the 120–Day Research Study, which incorporate these Grand Challenges, create the framework for the WSU research agenda over the next five years.

On September 2, in the CUB Junior Ballroom West (CUB 212), an all–campus reception will be held from 2:30 to 3 p.m. From 3 to 4:30 p.m., the second of several town hall–styled meetings will provide opportunity for face–to–face discussions and input about the WSU Grand Challenges. The Office of the Provost, the Office of Research, and the Faculty Senate are co–sponsoring the town hall meetings.

Input from the first town hall meeting on July 1 and comments received online are currently being incorporated into the 120–Day Research Study, with Version 1.0 accessible via MyResearch.

Please RSVP by emailing or.120daystudy@wsu.edu. We will have AMS capabilities and the location details are as follows:

• Vancouver: TBD
• Spokane: SAC 501
• Tri-Cities: 209W
