There is no better way to jump start your summer than attending a climbing clinic at the SRC! University Recreations offers two clinics designed to help you become a climbing expert. Belay clinics are designed to teach you how to belay a partner, climb by yourself and use our auto belay system. The lead clinic is for those who are comfortable with top-roping. In this clinic you will learn how to clip the rope into protection as you climb, instead of using a belay system.
This month, belay clinics are on May 17, 24 and 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. and the cost is $7. Registration ends the day before each clinic. There are upcoming lead clinics on May 16 and June 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration costs $5 and ends on May 10 and 31. There are also other clinics throughout the rest of the summer!
