Workshop offers expert advice on course evaluations

Three Washington State University experts are offering a workshop titled “Making Sense of Course Evaluations” at 12:10 p.m. April 21.

This interactive workshop takes a research-based approach to course evaluations. It will help faculty better assess information, and provide insight into student feedback.

Presenting are Samantha Swindell, clinical associate professor of psychology, and Becky Dueben and Elizabeth Carney, both assessment specialists at the Office of Assessment of Teaching and Learning.

The workshop is 12:10 p.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in CUE 518. Lunch will be served. The presentation will also be live-streamed. To attend, visit the WSU eLearning trainings page.

This workshop is part of a series sponsored by the WSU Provost’s Office, WSU Teaching Academy and WSU Global Campus. Previous workshops have covered flipped classrooms, virtual worlds, student engagement, liberating structures, academic integrity, tech tools and concept mapping.
