There’s more to quick response systems than clickers. Programs such as Socrative and Top Hat help faculty increase student engagement, quickly measure comprehension, and report scores to Blackboard—all using free or low-cost applications.
Next week’s Technology Test Kitchen will explore a variety of quick response tools.
From noon-1 Monday will be a presentation by WSU Professor Samantha Swindell. Tuesday is a presentation by faculty member Dee Posey and Wednesday offers a “speed date” with such quick response systems as Poll Anywhere, Socrative, Top Hat, and Collaborate. Both Thursday and Friday are open labs.
All sessions are in the AMS offices at Holland Library 150. No registration is required; just drop in. Full schedule here.
The Technology Test Kitchen is offered by WSU Global Campus and the Provost’s Office. It focuses on different educational technologies each week, and runs through May 1.
