Free Personal Training Workshops

University Recreation’s vision is to be national leaders in safe, innovative, and inclusive recreational and fitness opportunities. With this vision in mind, UREC’s personal trainers offer inclusive workshops designed to enhance the wellbeing of participants. From weight lifting seminars to wellbeing clinics, personal training workshops cover a wide array of inclusive opportunities. Workshops are FREE for SRC and nonmembers, however, nonmembers are required to buy an SRC day pass to attend the workshop! Personal training workshops give you the opportunity to work directly with personal trainers to develop the optimal fitness environment for your training needs.

  • The Importance of Stretching and Mobilization: Thursday, April 2 6-7 p.m. SRC Room 142
    • Joint and muscle mobility is crucial to stay healthy. Come find out how to properly stretch, loosen and mobilize an area that may be hindering your performance or could potentially lead to an injury.
  • How Body Image Anxiety Affects Gym Usage: Tuesday, April 14 6-7 p.m. SRC Room 144
    • For many men and women, body image is a predictor to how they feel about themselves, how they perceive others, and potentially how much anxiety people may have. Come learn about body image and how it affects one’s anxiety and gym usage.
