March 25th : How to….Publish High-Quality Research
The probability of getting published rests on three kinds of quality: 1) the quality of the ideas at the heart of the manuscript: 2) the quality of the methods and empirical findings supporting those ideas: 3) and the quality of the initial submission and subsequent promotion. To help academics gain success, this workshop will offer a systematic approach to conducting and reporting high-quality research that maximizes chances of getting published in the top journals of the field, including a process model for publishing high-quality research with implications for graduate training.
Presenter: Dr. Jeff Joireman, Associate Professor of Marketing at Washington State University and co-author of How to Publish High-Quality Research
April 15th: How to .…Partner to Integrate a Strong Outreach Component in your Proposed Project—Identifying WSU Resources
As the broader impacts component becomes more scrutinized, highly competitive grant proposals must have strong, integrated outreach/educational activities. There are many resources available at WSU and the community that can facilitate these activities. Please come and join us as we host representatives from several programs to talk to you about their programs, what to expect, and how to collaborate with them. The panel will have representatives from the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program; Imagine Tomorrow; Cougar Quest; Early Outreach; and the Palouse Discovery Science Center.
Panelists:
