Feb. 19: Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author David Cay Johnston to speak

The WSU Hoops Institute of Taxation Research and Policy and the WSU Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service will co-sponsor Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author David Cay Johnston for a free public talk: “How Government Creates Inequality: The Tax Rules That Take From the Many to Give to the Few,” Thursday, Feb. 19, 4:00 p.m., in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) room 203.

He will discuss a number of issues highlighted in his newest book, “Divided: The Perils of our Growing Inequality.” Johnston will also present his talk Wednesday, Feb. 18, 7:00 p.m., at the Fox Theater in Spokane. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/1zs2VWB.
