Financial Aid Census Date is This Friday

The Financial Aid Census Date for the spring semester is Friday, January 23, 2014.  On this date, a “snapshot” of your total enrollment (# of credits) will be taken.   This snapshot will determine your grant and loan eligibility for the term.

It is extremely important that you finalize your class schedule by 5:30PM on Census Date. This will allow us to ensure that your award is accurate. Also, please you will be unable to access your zzusis account to make any changes while our “snapshot” is being taken.

Other Things You Should Know:
-If you’re enrolled in full-time credits, no action is required on your part and there will be no impact to your financial aid award.
-To receive federal loans, you need to be enrolled at least half-time (Undergrad-6 credits; Grad/Professional-5 credits).
-You need to be enrolled full-time to receive Cougar Commitment (undergrad students).
-Grants (Pell, Washington State Need Grant, WASFA, and College Bound) will automatically be reduced and pro-rated for students enrolled in less than full-time credits.  These funds will start disbursing the week of January 26th and students will be notified by email.
-If you need an emergency short-term loan because you don’t have your grant funds yet, please contact us or your regional Student Financial Services office for assistance.
