Spring Financial Aid Reminders

Student Financial Services’ Smiles and Service Await all WSU Students

The Student Financial Services staff looks forward to helping students in the coming weeks now that the spring semester has started.  All students and families will be personally greeted by SFS staff when they come to our Pullman campus office in Lighty 380 or when visiting any of our financial aid regional campuses.  Plus, the SFS Communications Center and offices are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. to assist students and parents with questions and/or special situations. We’d appreciate you making sure students and parents are aware of these available resources for guidance:

  • Call: 509-335-9711
  • Email: finaid@wsu.edu
  • Schedule an in-person advisor appointment: the FinAid Scheduler (Pullman Campus only)
  • SFS website:  for timely announcement and key information at  wsu.edu

Spring Financial Aid Delivery

Spring financial aid began disbursing to students’ accounts last week on Wednesday, January 7th and will continue to deliver aid funds throughout the semester. SFS appreciates you encouraging students to check their ZZUSIS and WSU email accounts if they haven’t seen their financial aid yet to be sure they have taken care of business with our office. SFS will be disbursing aid after January 26 for those students who are grant eligible and are enrolled in less than full-time credits, because grant adjustments will need to be made to match their total enrollment based on the Financial Aid Census date.

Important Priority Deadline Dates

It’s that time of year again for students to start filing their FAFSA/WASFA application and to complete their WSU General Scholarship Application. Please be aware of these submission deadlines and encourage students to meet them.

Thank You!

SFS appreciates the Cougar community’s patience as our office tries to serve students in an efficient and caring manner during the busy semester start. Please direct students to visit their local financial aid office, call, email, or check the SFS website at WWW.FINAID.WSU.EDU when seeking help. Go Cougs!
