WSU offers new Blackboard training workshops, videos

Blackboard Learn is now live for faculty and staff, and WSU’s eLearning Services has several in-person training workshops this week:

  • Rubrics and Assignments will be at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2.
  • Blackboard Basics will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 3.
  • Content creation will be at noon Dec. 3.

Next week, workshops will cover TurnItIn, the Grade Center, Tests & Quizzes, Communities, and Content.

All workshops will be in Van Doren 102 at WSU Pullman. For the full schedule and to sign up, please go to the Global Campus eLearning site and choose Bb Learn from the Select Training Area dropdown.

WSU Global Campus is also creating a series of video tutorials. The first three are available on YouTube, and are meant to augment the many videos created by Bb Learn. Here’s a link to those videos. If you’d like to see a video on topic not covered, please let Ruth Gregory know.

To access Bb Learn, visit learn.wsu.edu and log in with your WSU NID and password. For the implementation timeline and more training options, including the drop-in lab and in-office assistance, please visit the LMS Transition website at lmstransition.wsu.edu. And you can always get fast answers by emailing migrationhelp@wsu.edu.
