Washington State University’s Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration is still a few months away, but it isn’t too early to nominate people for WSU’s MLK Distinguished Service Awards. The Award deadline is Friday, Nov. 21. Winners will be chosen based upon their service in one or all of the following areas: altruism and community service, advancement of diversity, and education and inclusion.
Awards will be given in five categories: a current WSU faculty member, a current WSU staff member, a currently enrolled WSU student, a group or organization affiliated with WSU, and an individual or group from the surrounding community.

The award winners will be recognized during the WSU Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration on Thursday, Jan. 22, 7:30 p.m., location to be announced.
