Come and listen to the first fall 2014 Fulbright Academy Seminar! David M. Hirzel (Architecture ‘62), Vice President of Sasaki Associates, Inc., (Wayland, MA) an international interdisciplinary planning and design firm providing consulting and design services, will be giving a presentation on his Fulbright Scholar experience and research in Norway that includes the history of Norwegian wood construction over an 800 year period. His presentation will span from the end of the Viking era to the mid-19th century looking at stave churches and log farm buildings. Mr. Hirzel grew up in Clarkston, WA and Paul Hirzel is a faculty member in the WSU School of Design and Construction.
This special seminar will be Thursday, Sept. 25, in CUE 518 from noon – 1 p.m. Also, student scholar, Alyssa Norris, will give a presentation on her Fulbright experience in the United Kingdom.
