Walter Echo-Hawk discusses the need for an American land & sea ethic as a necessary foundation for addressing the global environmental crisis & the role of indigenous peoples in helping nations form environmental ethics.
Echo-Hawk is a Native American attorney, tribal judge, author, activist, & law professor. He represents Indian tribes on important legal issues, such as treaty rights, water rights, religious freedom, prisoner rights, & repatriation rights.
