Get your free “I’m First at WSU” pin!

Did you know that nearly 40% of our last incoming freshman class were first-generation college students? First-Generation students are those whose parent(s) or legal guardians do not have a bachelor’s degree. Without campus and academic engagement, only 34% of first-generation college students are expected to graduate nationally.

The First Scholars Program and the Office for Access, Equity, & Achievement invite WSU faculty and staff who also identify as first-generation to request a free “I’m First at WSU” pin. We hope you will wear this pin at the start of the semester to help the newest first-generation members of our Cougar community feel welcomed. Show your pride and consider wearing your pin during Move-In, Convocation, Week of Welcome, and other events in which you’ll greet new WSU students!

We have a limited supply of pins, and requests are currently limited to the WSU Pullman campus. Request yours today! Visit: https://first.wsu.edu/wsu-firsts/im-first-buttons/
