Student Employment Moves to CACD; Post Jobs Now Using CougLink!

If your area hires student workers, two upcoming changes are important to note:

  1. The Student Employment program is moving effective July 1 to the Center for Advising and Career Development (CACD) from the Office of Student Financial Services (SFS)*.  And,
  2. You will use the CougLink online system to post new job announcements; it is available now from the homepage of the https://cacd.wsu.edu website.

Part of the WSU Office of Undergraduate Education, CACD has an extensive career resource suite that helps students prepare personally and professionally to make wise and realistic major and career decisions.  Adding Student Employment to the suite is a great way for CACD professional staff to help students build on the skills learned through employment while in college and leverage those into future opportunities.

CougLink has been used by hundreds of WSU students for years to post resumes, connect with employers, view open positions, and more; adding Student Employment’s on- and off-campus job postings from employers will encourage more students to become familiar with the system during their academic careers.

CACD Assistant Director Christie Motley, who heads CACD career services and employer relations, is available to answer questions and to help WSU faculty, staff, and students as Student Employment transitions to its new home.  She can be reached at 509-335-9612 or cmotley@wsu.edu.

Student Employment joins many ongoing CACD operations in Lighty 160-180.

*All work study services will remain in SFS.
