American Violet screening- Investigating the Criminal Justice System Film Series

Diversity Education is hosting a film series that critically examines the criminal justice system. The film series will use three mainstream films as a launching point to discuss the impact that the prison system has on individuals and communities, and in reinforcing systemic inequality. Following the films, there will be a discussion that explores the issues presented by the film and the state of the criminal justice system.

Our final film of the series, American Violet, will be shown on Tuesday, April 22 in Wilmer-Davis Hall. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/236073199929726/
