All faculty, staff, students, and (of course!) Moms and families are invited to attend the final Global Case Competition on Friday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m. in Todd 276.
Fifteen teams submitted solutions – five finalist interdisciplinary teams were selected by a panel of seven judges to present their innovative solutions to this year’s “global case:” arsenic poisoning in Bangladesh.
Eighty million Bangladeshi are at risk of arsenic-related disease and 1 of every 5 deaths in Bangladesh may be attributed to arsenic poisoning. The World Health Organization calls this “the largest mass poisoning in history” and with expansion of global trade this may spread around the world and expose millions more people to risk.
Join us to hear how WSU students can make a positive impact on this complex global issue!
In addition to the team presentations the Association for Bangladeshi Students and Scholars will be providing information about Bangladesh. The program will be followed by a catered reception and awards ceremony.
Not in Pullman? The Competition will be live streamed! Learn more and register at https://open.wsu.edu/
