CCGRS Speaker Series Presents: A Common Reading Event with Tanya Golash-Boza

Tanya Golash-Boza, an associate professor of sociology at the University of California, Merced, will be presenting a lecture entitled “Mass Deportation and Global Capitalism in the 21st Century” on Thursday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m. in CUE 203. Her lecture will focus on how and why non-citizens in the United States have been detained and deported for minor crimes, without regard for constitutional limits on disproportionate punishment, and promises to be both interesting and engaging.
