WSU Native American Programs would like to invite any interested members of the community to join in a book club for “Falling Into Place: A Memoir of Overcoming ” by Hattie Kauffman, a member of the Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho and Emmy Award-winning news correspondent.
Kauffman will be visiting the WSU campus on Tuesday, March 25 as the keynote speaker for the Women’s Recognition and Symposium lunch.
The book club will meet twice in the month leading up to Kauffman’s visit, and will include discussion of the reading and a free soup dinner. A Bookie representative will be present with books for purchase at the first meeting of the book club. “Falling Into Place” can also be purchased at the Bookie on campus.
The book club will meet Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Tuesday, March 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Native American Cultural House, 975 B Street, Pullman. See map.
