Applications are now being accepted for the final two 2014 Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trips. The first trip, “Spring to Action, Break for Change” (S2AB4C) focuses on sustainable agriculture and food systems throughout the Northwest. S2AB4C is offered in partnership through the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, the Foundation for Sustainability and Innovation, and the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE). Applications are due Feb. 10, and this trip will take place March 15-19.
The second trip, Eco Adventure: Red Rock Desert Climbing, combines hiking, camping, and rock climbing with environmental stewardship in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. Applications are due March 2, and the trip cost is $375. This trip is offered in partnership by Outdoor Recreation and the CCE and will take place March 14-23.
