Tree Removal

Facilities Services Operations Grounds Department will be removing a Whitebeam Mt. Ash tree by the Stephenson North Tower Resident Hall in the near future. There are site conflicts with the tree being too close to the windows, dropping fruit on the main entry walk of the facility causing slipping hazards and the roots raising the concrete creating a tripping hazard. Low branches also interfere with delivery trucks at the nearby loading dock and birds eating the fruit run into the windows. Another tree species will be planted in a nearby lawn. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Grounds Supervisor, Kappy Brun, at 335-9067 or kappy@wsu.edu. The wood from the tree will be taken to the Compost Facility.
