ADVANCE at WSU Travel Funds Available for “Distinguished Speakers”

ADVANCE at WSU seeks to fund proposals for Distinguished Speakers who will address issues that specifically effect STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) women faculty, as well as other faculty. This new funding is available through the Proactive Recruitment and Network Development (PRO-NET) program which is focused on increasing the awareness of barriers to recruitment, retention and advancement of STEM women faculty (e.g., implicit bias, dual career partnerships, work-life integration challenges, lack of mentors, reduced access to critical professional networks…)

All WSU departments are eligible to submit a proposal to support speaker travel, lodging and per diem costs. Speakers must present no later than April 30th, 2014. To learn more and submit a proposal, visit advance.wsu.edu/PRONET
