The Washington State University men’s basketball team locked down its first winning season since 2011 with a triple-overtime 85‑76 victory over Stanford on Saturday. Sophomore Noah Williams’ career-high 40 points were the most for WSU since NBA‑great Klay Thompson scored 43 for the Cougars in 2011.

Second-year Coach Kyle Smith’s team is currently ranked 8th in the Pac‑12 with three games left.

The Cougars will play at the Arizona schools later this week and wrap up the season against the in‑state rival Huskies on March 6.
