Join veterinarian and biomedical researcher Steven Niemi at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, as he explains how to discuss some of veterinary medicine’s hot buttons with the opposition.

Dr. Niemi is the featured speaker at the 2020 Bustad Lectures, presented virtually and at no cost by Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Niemi is a visiting fellow for the Animal Law & Policy Program at Harvard Law School and an adjunct professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. He is also a WSU College of Veterinary Medicine alumnus.

He will touch on hot-button issues like animal research, food animal production, vaccine safety, and how improved communication between both sides benefits the human-animal bond.
