VANCOUVER – Students and faculty will showcase their research, scholarship and artwork at the sixth annual Research Showcase at WSU Vancouver. The event will be held from 9 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 in the Firstenburg Student Commons. This event is free and open to the public.
More than 65 posters and exhibits of faculty and student research projects, digital artwork and scholarly publications will be on display throughout the day. The showcase will also feature a noon lecture by business faculty member Tom Tripp, an awards ceremony and reception from 4 – 5 p.m. and oral presentations from 5 – 7 p.m.
Bonnie Dunbar, former NASA mission specialist astronaut and current president and CEO of the Museum of Flight, will give the keynote address from 7 – 8:15 p.m. in the Administration building, room 110. Dunbar will talk about the common ground connecting her experiences as a NASA mission specialist astronaut aboard five space flights, her role in leading and directing the Museum of Flight, and her educational journey.
