A new science/technology series co-sponsored by WSU will highlight breakthrough developments by the state’s finest researchers, including some from the university.
The inaugural season of the Spokane Science & Technology Roundtable will launch in January, with a different speaker each month through May. It is designed for business and community leaders who want to stay on top of important advancements being made in the state, nationally and internationally.
All sessions will be 7:30-9 a.m. at the Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane. The intimate setting is to encourage discussion about questions taken following the speaker’s presentation.

• Jan. 6: Len Peters, director, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
• Feb. 3: Yogendra Gupta, director, Institute for Shock Physics, WSU.
• March 3: Bassem A. Bejjani, co-founder and medical director, Signature Genomic Laboratories, and research professor, WSU Spokane.

• May 5: Edward Lazowska, Bill & Melinda Gates chair, computer science & engineering, University of Washington.
