Major change made in employment process

Washington State University will make a major change in its employment process on June 17 when it implements an online employment process for classified staff, student, work study and temporary hourly positions. 

The system will not be used at this time for faculty or administrative hiring. This online system change will make the employment process more efficient and accessible for both job seekers and hiring managers. It allows for up-to-date information as job postings are updated daily.

The new employment system allows job seekers to conduct the entire application process online, including searching for positions, completing and submitting job applications, attaching resumes and other supporting documents, and tracking the status of applications. These processes can be conducted from any computer with Internet access. 

Job seekers can save their completed applications for at least one year, allowing them to apply for multiple positions over a period of time and obtain detailed information including qualifications, skill requirements, work location, and work schedule from each posting. Job seekers will need to apply for each position they are interested in. 

Regretfully, the accounts and applications active in in the current system are not compatible with the new WSU Employment System and cannot be transferred. However, if someone submits an application for a position before June 17, and meets the minimum requirements, that application will remain active for that position. 

To apply for a position after June 17, applicants will need to create a new user account (only one account is necessary per person).  After someone creates a user account, he/she will need to create an application and apply for each position that is of interest.
