Annual WSU holiday celebration slated for Dec. 8

The 19th annual Washington State University Holiday Celebration is set for Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lewis Alumni Centre. The event is free and open to the public.

The celebration will provide photo opportunities with both a traditional Santa and Santa Butch. There will be a children’s arts and crafts session as well as holiday music and cheer for everyone. The College of Veterinary Medicine Draft Horse Club will offer horse-drawn wagon rides, weather permitting. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each for a chance to win an autographed football signed by the 2004 Cougar football team. The Student Alumni Connection will draw a winner at the end of the evening. The Compton Union Building catering service will provide refreshments.

SAC will also collect nonperishable food items and toys at the celebration to benefit the Pullman Food Bank. The holiday celebration, sponsored by SAC in cooperation with the WSU Alumni Association, is made possible by support from Safeway and the Coca Cola Co.

For more information about the holiday celebration, contact Holly Schneidmiller, SAC CCR chair, at (509) 386-1808, cocodean@hotmail.com or Mark Dinges, SAC adviser, at (509) 335-6904, mdinges@wsu.edu.

SAC supports interaction between alumni, students, future students, parents, staff, faculty, the Pullman community and the WSU Foundation. For more information about SAC, visit www.wsu.edu/~sac.
