Book-coverPULLMAN, Wash. – Community members are invited to audition for a new anti-violence stage production sponsored by V-Day at Washington State University. V-Day is a registered student organization working to end gender violence. The play will be performed in February.

PULLMAN – V-Day WSU will hold auditions for this year’s benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 5 at WSU in Wilson-Short, Room 13.

V-Day WSU, a registered student organization since 2002, invites anyone who identifies as a woman from the WSU campus and surrounding communities to audition for its eighth annual production of the award-winning play by Eve Ensler.

Tickets on sale for 7th annual benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues”

PULLMAN – The 2009 WSU benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues” is nearly here. Tickets for the benefit production will go on sale Feb. 2. They will be sold in the main lobby of the Compton Union Building. Hours of ticket sales are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the price is $8 a ticket, or $10 if purchased at the door.

‘The Vagina Monologues’ comes to WSU Tri-Cities

RICHLAND – A new student club is bringing “The Vagina Monologues” to the WSU Tri-Cities campus.


The performance is at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, in the East Building Auditorium, 2710 University Drive, Richland. It is sponsored by the EVE Club, standing for equality, vision and empowerment.


Tickets are $8 for the general public and free to WSU Tri-Cities students. Seating is limited, so tickets must be purchased or received in advance through the WSU Tri-Cities student accounts window at the entrance to the West Building or at 372-7498.

Auditions to be held for the Vagina Monologues

PULLMAN – All women are encouraged to audition for the WSU 2008 benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues.” Auditions will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 in Wilson Hall Room 6.

No theater experience or preparation for the audition is needed. Women of all ethnicities, backgrounds and sexual orientations are encouraged to audition.

Jordan Hightower, a WSU senior and director of the 2008 production said, “A part in ‘The Vagina Monologues’ is a way of getting involved in an ongoing fight against violence, and everyone involved helps make a difference in ending violence against women.”

Performance will assist women around the world

Women from Pullman to Louisiana to East Asia stand to benefit from the 2006 production of “The Vagina Monologues,” which is performed yearly at WSU as part of V-Day, a worldwide effort to stop violence against women through education, awareness and fund raising. Last year’s benefit raised about $8,000. The cast and crew each year choose the beneficiaries of the WSU performance.
