Green highway snow and ice control cuts the chemicals

Cold-climate researchers at Washington State University are clearing the road with green alternatives to the salt, sand and chemicals typically used for highway snow and ice control.

Hwy 195 car accident claims life of WSU employee

Sylvia Bodolay, 56, director of information systems for the College of Education, was killed Feb. 15 in a collision on Highway 195 near Plaza. Two others riding in Bodolay’s car were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.
