WSU holds drawing to distribute new apple to growers

WA-38-150PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University will hold a random drawing to determine which Washington growers will be the first to plant the newest apple developed by the WSU apple breeding program. This will facilitate a fair and equitable distribution of a limited number of WA 38 trees in the first year of release.

Architectural illustrator to offer drawing workshop

PULLMAN – Pencil, marker, pastel and watercolor techniques for graphic artists will be taught by renowned illustrator Brian Lin at a workshop Nov. 6 and Nov. 7, sponsored by the WSU Landscape Architecture Club. The workshop is in the Ensminger Pavilion on the WSU campus. Sessions start at 9 a.m. both days and continue until 6 p.m.

The cost for the workshop is $60 ($75 for registering the day of the event) for students. The public is welcome to the workshop. The cost for members of the public or professionals is $100 ($110 for registering the day of the event).
